## Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Invarya Technologies Private Limited ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit placeoptimizer.com or use the operator console at app.placeoptimizer.com .

By continuing to use the Platform you consent to the use of cookies as described here. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through your browser settings.

## What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They make websites work more efficiently, provide information to site owners, and enable certain features.

Cookies can be persistent (remaining on your device until deleted or expired) or session (deleted when you close your browser), and first-party (set by the site you are visiting) or third-party (set by other services the site uses).

## How we use them

### Essential cookies
Necessary for the Platform to function: security, session management, and authentication on the operator console. You cannot opt out of these; the console would not work without them.

### Functional cookies
Remember your preferences, such as the light/dark colour scheme in the operator console.

### Analytics
We use three analytics services:

- Google Analytics 4: tracks page views, events, and traffic sources using _ga cookies. Data is aggregated to understand visitor behaviour. See the Google Privacy Policy .
- Plausible Analytics: privacy-friendly page analytics served from our own infrastructure (analytics.invarya.com). Plausible sets no cookies , stores no personal data, and does not track you across sites. See the Plausible Data Policy .
- OpenPanel: privacy-first product and web analytics served from our own infrastructure (events.invarya.com). OpenPanel sets no tracking cookies and does not track you across sites; it uses only a small amount of browser local storage for its own operation. See the OpenPanel Privacy Policy .

## Cookies we set
The specific cookies in use on the Platform:

Cookie Type Purpose Duration better-auth.session_token Essential Maintains your authenticated session on the operator console 7 days nuxt-color-mode Functional Stores your preferred colour scheme (light/dark/system) in the operator console Session _ga , _ga_* Analytics Google Analytics 4: distinguishes visitors and sessions for aggregate traffic reporting 2 years

Plausible and OpenPanel appear nowhere in this table because they are cookieless by design.

## Third parties
Third-party services we use may set their own cookies, governed by their own privacy policies rather than this one.

### OAuth providers
If you sign in to the operator console with Google, Google may set its own cookies during authentication. See the Google Privacy Policy .

### Payment processors
When paid plans apply, our payment partner (Razorpay) may set cookies for fraud prevention and payment processing. See the Razorpay Privacy Policy .

## Similar technologies

### Local storage
We use browser local storage for application state that persists across sessions, such as operator-console interface preferences and analytics library state.

### Session storage
We use session storage for temporary data cleared when you close the tab, such as in-progress form state and navigation state.

## Managing cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings, usually under "Privacy" or "Security". Note that disabling essential cookies will break sign-in on the operator console.

- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Safari
- Microsoft Edge

### Opting out of analytics
You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by blocking _ga cookies in your browser. Plausible is cookieless and collects no personal data, so there is nothing to opt out of beyond standard content blocking.

### Do Not Track
We currently do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, but we continuously evaluate our practices and may do so in the future.

## Cookies & personal data
Some cookies may collect personal data, particularly when combined with other information we hold about you. Where they do, we process that data in accordance with our Privacy Policy , with appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit.

## Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Changes are posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date, and your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

## Frequently asked questions
- ### What cookies does PlaceOptimizer set?
The Platform sets three first-party cookies: better-auth.session_token, an essential cookie that maintains your authenticated session on the operator console (7 days); nuxt-color-mode, a functional cookie that stores your light/dark colour-scheme preference (session); and _ga / _ga_* analytics cookies from Google Analytics 4, which distinguish visitors and sessions for aggregate traffic reporting (2 years).
- ### Are Plausible and OpenPanel cookieless?
Yes. Both Plausible (served from analytics.invarya.com) and OpenPanel (served from events.invarya.com) are cookieless by design and appear nowhere in the cookie table. Plausible sets no cookies and stores no personal data. OpenPanel sets no tracking cookies and uses only a small amount of browser local storage for its own operation. Neither tracks you across sites.
- ### How do I manage or block cookies?
You can control cookies through your browser settings, usually under “Privacy” or “Security”, and the policy links the cookie-management pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s Opt-out Browser Add-on or by blocking _ga cookies. Note that disabling essential cookies will break sign-in on the operator console.
- ### Do you respond to Do Not Track signals?
We currently do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, but we continuously evaluate our practices and may do so in the future. In the meantime you can limit tracking through your browser’s cookie controls and the analytics opt-out options described in the Cookie Policy.
- ### Do third parties set their own cookies?
Yes. If you sign in to the operator console with Google, Google may set its own cookies during authentication. When paid plans apply, our payment partner Razorpay may set cookies for fraud prevention and payment processing. These third-party cookies are governed by those providers’ own privacy policies rather than by our Cookie Policy.
