# Multi-location GBP management software in India: what matters
What to evaluate when buying Google Business Profile management software in India — INR pricing, GST invoicing, and the live-versus-roadmap split.

If you manage Google Business Profiles across ten, fifty, or two hundred locations in India, the software buying question is deceptively simple: what does it cost per outlet per month, in rupees, with GST sorted, and is that number visible before you talk to a salesperson? Most of the global platforms answer "it depends, quoted in dollars, and you'll find out on a call." This post lays out what actually matters when you evaluate GBP management software for an Indian estate — the criteria that differ from a US buyer's, the pricing landscape as vendors currently publish it, and how to shortlist honestly instead of on a demo.

## What "management" means, and what it does not
Every platform in this category calls itself a management tool, but the word covers very different scopes. The useful question is not "does it manage listings?" but "what exactly is automated today, what is flagged for a human, and what is a roadmap promise?" A scored audit that runs automatically, a post publishing workflow, and review monitoring are management. A reply-writing feature that is announced but not shipped is not, yet it will appear on the same feature grid.

That live-versus-roadmap split is the single most important thing to pin down, because it is the difference between a product that works on day one and one that works after a roadmap lands. PlaceOptimizer publishes the split per check across seven categories — what the audit checks today is the full inventory, with everything marked automated, manual, or roadmap — and the honest headline is: the audit, the locations dashboard, post publishing, review monitoring, member roles, whitelabel, and GST billing are live; review replies, bulk CSV diff-and-apply, and listing bulk edits are roadmap.

## The India-specific checklist
A US buyer evaluates currency, invoicing, and timezone once and moves on. For an Indian multi-location estate these are load-bearing, and they are the criteria where the global platforms quietly cost you more than the sticker price.

Published INR pricing, not a quote. If the price is only available from a sales team, you cannot budget, you cannot compare, and the number you eventually get is a negotiation outcome rather than a published fact. Every vendor in this category either publishes per-location numbers or does not; the table below records which is which.

GST invoicing. A GST-registered supplier must issue a tax invoice for a taxable supply, carrying the supplier's GSTIN, an invoice number, the date, and the tax break-up ( the GST e-invoice system run by the Goods and Services Tax Network , accessed August 2026). A foreign vendor billing in USD may not issue a GST invoice at all, which turns a routine software expense into a reconciliation exercise at tax time. Per-location pricing in INR with GST stated separately means the figure you see is the figure you budget.

IST everywhere. India runs on IST (UTC+5:30), and a management tool whose scheduling, reporting, and "today" logic runs on a foreign timezone mislabels your data around midnight. It is a small thing that shows up as a recurring irritant.

India geo depth. The roadmap that matters for an Indian chain is the four-level hierarchy — State, City, District, Taluk — because that is how Indian retail actually rolls up reporting. On PlaceOptimizer this is roadmap, not live, and we label it as such.

## The published pricing landscape
Below is what the vendors currently publish, as read on their pages in July and August 2026. Prices change, so re-verify before you budget; the point of the table is the shape of the market, not a price list you can stop checking.

Vendor What it primarily is Per-location price, as published Source Sekel Tech Hyperlocal discovery and commerce suite ₹800 / ₹1,500 / ₹2,100 per outlet per month; custom quote above 1,000 outlets; GST treatment not stated Sekel's published pricing page , read August 2026 SingleInterface Enterprise location-marketing platform Not published; every tier is quote-only SingleInterface's website, which lists no price list , read July 2026 Locus Intelligence Multi-location network management ₹1 lakh 30-day pilot; ₹2 lakh per month up to 75 locations; ₹600 per location beyond Locus Intelligence's published pricing page , read July 2026 Famepilot Review and reputation management Plans banded by location count, no figure published against any band Famepilot's pricing page, which publishes no figures , read August 2026 BrightLocal Local SEO reporting suite Location-band pricing in USD; no INR option BrightLocal's pricing page, which prices in location bands , read July 2026 Semrush Local Local SEO software $30 and $60 per location per month, USD; custom quote at 20+ locations Semrush's Local product page , read July 2026 Synup Agency listing-management subscriptions $79 / $199 / $799 per month billed annually, with location caps per tier Synup's pricing page, which sells agency subscriptions , read July 2026 PlaceOptimizer GBP audit + operator console Starter ₹650 and Growth ₹1,250 per location per month, INR, GST stated separately PlaceOptimizer's pricing page Three things stand out. Indian-native vendors do publish INR numbers, so the "nobody serves India" framing is false and we will not use it; the genuine differentiators are scope (a focused listing-management job versus a commerce suite) and the live-versus-roadmap split. Second, most of the published numbers are per-outlet rates that assume every outlet is the same product — check what a location actually includes in your vendor's contract, because add-ons are where the sticker price grows. Third, a published price is not the transacted price: vendors with a custom band above a location threshold stop being comparable at genuine enterprise scale.

## How to shortlist and test GBP management software
This is the procedure we recommend to anyone evaluating this category, and it is the same one we use to judge ourselves.

- Run a free scored audit on your own listings first. The output of a real audit — your stores, your data, scored against a published checklist — is the ground truth every claim on a demo should be tested against. The free PlaceOptimizer audit does this in minutes; how the audit works end to end shows what runs underneath.
- Price your actual location count on the published pages, not the demo. Take your store list, multiply it out on each vendor's published numbers, and add the known add-ons. Vendors without published numbers are quote-only, which is itself the finding — decide whether that is acceptable before the sales call, not after.
- Ask for the automated-versus-manual-versus-roadmap inventory in writing. The feature grid is the advertisement; the split between automated today, manual today, and roadmap is the contract. If a vendor will not write that split down, assume the difference is loaded into the roadmap column.
- Verify the live set against your own workflow before you commit. Log in, post to a location, read a review stream, generate an invoice. Any vendor's demo will look clean; what matters is whether the workflow you actually run every week survives contact with your own estate.
A closing honesty note, because it matters more than any row in the table: PlaceOptimizer is onboarding its first design partners and has no customer logos to show you. What we offer instead is verifiable output — run the audit on your own brand and judge the result. That is a weaker signal than a reference customer, and we would rather you weigh it knowing that than discover it in a reference check.
